When Supergiant Games launched Hades for Nintendo Switch and PC last year, they found their game met with immense critical and commercial success. Seeing an opportunity to expand the game’s reach, they’ve paired up with Private Division to bring physical versions to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox family of consoles on August 13.

While Hades will obviously release in digital format on those consoles, too, the physical versions will offer incentives for collectors. For starters, the first-run prints of these versions will feature a metallic foil cover for a bit of visual flair. Additionally, each copy will come with a compendium booklet filled with artwork and a code to download the digital soundtrack.

Even better, this challenging roguelike hack-and-slash experience will be made even better on Sony and Microsoft’s newest hardware. Picking the game up for PS5 or Xbox Series X will net you gorgeous 4K resolution and buttery smooth 60FPS gameplay. It will also take advantage of the PS5’s DualSense controller for enhanced vibration and controller lighting.

Hades launches for $29.99 this August on all the aforementioned consoles. Of course, if you simply can’t wait to dive in, you can pick the game up right away on Switch or Steam and start kicking ass.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
