There’s no denying that FromSoftware’s own Elden Ring has been hogging much of the spotlight this E3, but another game in the Soulslike genre has also brought some pretty exciting news to the table. Developer White Rabbit has unveiled that their 2018 hit Death’s Gambit will be receiving an updated version dubbed Afterlife for release later this year on Nintendo Switch.
Death’s Gambit: Afterlife claims to double the size of the original 2D action title, bringing with it an abundance of fresh content for new and returning players to dive into. Notably, the game will feature some enhancements to its existing gameplay and world design, 22 weapons to discover, and a plethora of skills and talents to learn.
In addition to all the extra weapons and skills for players to use, Death’s Gambit: Afterlife will be adding 10 new levels, compelling cinematics to watch, and tons of new storylines to follow, adding even more depth to an already lore-rich world full of intrigue.
Death’s Gambit: Afterlife will be a timed exclusive on Switch when it launches in a handful of months, but White Rabbit has promised that the game will make its way over to more platforms by the end of the year. The original game released for PC and PlayStation 4, so those seem like pretty likely candidates, but the developer has not confirmed if the upgraded iteration will also make its way to Xbox consoles for the first time.
