Indie studio Subliminal Games will launch their cute and colorful, narrative-based adventure game Button City on August 10. It doesn’t matter where you like to play your games, either, as it will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

If you enjoy arcades, you’re going to want to get behind the goals of Button City‘s main character, an anthropomorphic fox named Fennel. After moving to a new town and making friends with some other animal youngsters – known as the Fluff Squad – Fennel finds himself in love with the local arcade. Unfortunately, a greedy cat named Peppermint Pepperbottom wants it shut down, and thus Fennel and the Fluff Squad have to band together and put together a plan to keep it alive.

Button City‘s low-poly graphics, adorable characters, and story of friendship are no doubt appealing on their own, but there’s no shortage of stuff to do in this charming title, either. You can spend your time in the arcade playing a variety of minigames, solve puzzles for the local townspeople, collect cute outfits, decorate your room to your liking, and much more.

So whether you’re playing Button City for its whimsical narrative and lovable characters, or you’re just looking for some minigames to pass the time, you’ll find that there’s a good reason for you to keep your eye out for this vibrant adventure title when it launches next month. In the meantime, you can add it to your Steam wishlist right now.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
