Zombie Army 4: Dead War received some DLC today that wraps up a season-long story, but fans of a certain classic zombie shooter may find that there’s even more exciting content to enjoy.
Available both as a $6.99 standalone pack and part of Season Pass 3, the Return to Hell DLC is the finale of the story that started at the beginning of Season 3, but the campaign mission isn’t all that it brings to the table. You can also grab some neat in-game loot, including the Horror Headgear Pack, Flare Gun Weapon Bundle, Van Helsing Weapon Skins, and Horror Charm Pack 2. But if you read the headline, you’re probably not here for that.
If you’ve ever spent time mowing down waves of zombies in Valve’s immensely popular co-op zombie-killing title Left 4 Dead 2, you’ll be delighted to hear that today’s Zombie Army 4 drop also brings with it something special for you. You can now fight against the undead hordes using four iconic characters from that beloved game – and this pack is entirely free for all players. Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, and Nick are all playable right now.
Whether you’re looking to dive back in to the gripping zombie slaying of Zombie Army 4‘s final Season 3 campaign mission or you just want to try out the new Left 4 Dead 2 character additions, it’s definitely a good time to boot the game back up. It may be the last bit of content for the game, though, as developer Rebellion has previously only outlined three seasons worth. This may be goodbye for fans of this undead multiplayer title, but if it is, at least it’s going out on a high note.
