Today’s a good day for trophy and achievement hunters, as full completion of Ratalaika Games’ new title Gleylancer can be achieved in under an hour.

While those seeking a solid payoff for minimal investment are already familiar with these types of quick and easy titles, Gleylancer takes things a step further by having the option for automated completion. By adjusting a handful of options in the menus, you can set this side-scrolling shoot-em-up to play the game entirely on its own, popping those trophies or achievements along the way. In the meantime, you can go grab some lunch.

It’s worth noting that this release of Gleylancer is an updated version of the classic title that originally launched on the Sega Mega Drive back in 1992, so fans of the genre should find that it’s worth experiencing legitimately regardless of whether you’re after the external rewards it offers. That being said, if you’re only in it for the trophies or gamerscore, read on for a simple explanation of how to snag it with very little effort on your end.

Look ma! no hands!

In order to achieve this auto-completion, all you have to do is boot up Gleylancer and access Options from the main menu. Here, you’ll go to Gameplay and set the Gameplay Mode to “Cheater”. Once you back out of this screen, you can re-enter it to see some new options. Turn on “Invincible” and “Debug Menu”, then go back and start things up. This takes you to a retro starting screen where there’s a bit more to do.

Once you’ve reached the retro starting screen, you’ll see another set of Options you can click. Do so, and set the game to “Easy”, turn off Story Mode, and set Shot to “Auto”. Back out once again and start the game. At this next screen, select “Search” so that the game will automatically attack enemies for you. The game will now begin, leaving you with only one more thing to do.

As the final step, pause the game to access the Debug Menu you enabled earlier. Here, simply scroll over and turn Gunner to “2” and turn Missile to “On”. After you’ve done all of this, you’re free to sit back and relax while Gleylancer completely plays itself until you’re rewarded with a platinum trophy or 1000 gamerscore.

If you’d like to knock this one out for the trophies or achievements, Gleylancer is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles. However, those who are strictly looking to play through this enjoyably challenging 2D shoot-em-up can also pick the game up for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
