Playful Studios has surprise-released a remaster of their hit VR game Lucky’s Tale for Oculus Quest 2.

Lucky’s Tale is a VR-only 3D platformer originally released as a launch title for the Oculus Rift in 2016. This updated remaster, however, brings a host of improvements that make it the definitive version for both new and returning fans of the titular fox’s virtual reality adventure. Most notably, the game now features the same character model as the one found in the non-VR sequel New Super Lucky’s Tale, meaning Lucky now runs on two feet like a classic platformer mascot.

Alongside the new character model – and the resulting control refinements – are improvements to lighting and remixed audio to help give even further life to the already vibrant title. Otherwise, this is the same exciting VR experience players got the first time around, featuring a diverse collection of levels, plenty of collectables to round up, and some extra time-based challenges to overcome.

This updated version of Lucky’s Tale can be snagged right now for $19.99 on Oculus Quest 2. If you’re a fan of 3D platformers, you may also want to check out Playful Studios’ expansive sequel New Super Lucky’s Tale, which can be picked up on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
