RedDeerGames’ point-and-click adventure game Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders is out tomorrow, December 14, on Xbox consoles.
Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders was originally released on PC in 2019 and Nintendo Switch earlier this month. The game casts players as the legendary detective Di Renjie, who must solve a series of gruesome murders during a time of political turmoil in China. As he digs ever deeper into each case and unravels their potential political purposes, he finds himself on a collision course with China’s first female empress and her Imperial Court.
Presented as a traditional point-and-click adventure game, Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders promises all of the genre’s trappings, such as in-depth exploration, interacting with a myriad of objects and clues, and solving elaborate puzzles. Setting it apart, however, is how players can use a feature that allows them to reenact the scene of a crime and test their theories about how it all went down.
Detective Di: The Silk Rose Murders is already available on Nintendo Switch and PC, so you can always pick the game up there. Otherwise, it will launch tomorrow on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
