The award-winning space sandbox title Astroneer is finally making its way to Nintendo Switch next Thursday, January 13.

Astroneer originally launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019, so it’s been quite a while since the game has made the leap to a new console. Luckily, the Switch version is being billed as the “complete experience” and will include the new Xenobiology update that brings with it a variety of never-before-seen creatures and fresh adventures to take on. If you haven’t played Astroneer on any other platform, it sounds like the Switch edition should scratch the itch wonderfully for exploration enthusiasts.

Pre-ordering Astroneer on Switch comes with a selection of exclusive in-game rewards. In addition to next week’s digital release, developer System Era Softworks is teaming up with Gearbox Publishing to bring a physical version of the game to the console at a later date. It will be available in North America and Europe, and it’s expected to bring with it even more exclusive rewards for those who wish to own a hard copy of the title.

You’ll be able to grab Astroneer on Switch next week, or you can always pick the game up on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC if you prefer. Of course, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are backward compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S and X.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
