Developer StickyLock has recently released a sneak peek at their ambitious new first-person shooter Histera: Fall of Human.
Histera: Fall of Human is being billed as a “high-concept, free-to-play multiplayer FPS” built around some incredibly inventive ideas. Every match endures something called “the Glitch”, a gameplay event that causes the zones within the map to procedurally generate between three completely different eras of human history. Not only do the maps change rather drastically, but even the weapons get switched around โ maybe you’ll find an assault rifle in a more modern era, but you’ll have to make do with a bow and arrows in the prehistoric location.

Histera: Fall of Human will launch into Steam Early Access with a standard deathmatch mode, but StickyLock has promised that the game will receive considerable support in the future. The team is expanding on the experience with a narrative, and they’ll be introducing a level editor at some point that will allow the community to stretch their creative muscles that can be shared via the Steam Workshop.
Histera: Fall of Human doesn’t have a confirmed release date quite yet, but it’s expected to release into Steam Early Access at some point in 2022. If you’re looking for an unconventional first-person shooting experience, this is one to keep in your sights.
