Sony Interactive Entertainment España and Path Games have released Insomnis: Long Night Edition on PlayStation consoles.

Insomnis was originally released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in October of last year and then released on Steam just last week. However, this new PlayStation-only Long Night Edition comes with a few extras that fans or newcomers alike might enjoy. The new edition’s four exclusive avatars can be used to show off your appreciation of the game on your profile, while a digital copy of the original game soundtrack can give you something to listen to if you’re wanting to get a bit creepy. It goes without saying, of course, that the Long Night Edition comes with a digital copy of the game, too.

Insomnis received mediocre reviews upon its original release late last year. Most critics felt the game was a bit too repetitive, offered too many rudimentary puzzle elements, and lacked the necessary levels of consequence needed to offer truly successful scares. That being said, however, many have also praised the game’s visuals, ambient audio, and general sense of tension-building, especially in the first half of the experience. Your mileage may vary, but a reasonable price tag should keep this one firmly in the “worth a shot” category for many horror enthusiasts.

If you haven’t checked the game out yet or simply want to score the extra goodies, you can pick up Insomnis: Long Night Edition digitally right now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for $19.99. You can always pick up the original version on those same consoles and PC without the extras for $14.99, too.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
