Developer Team Meat made a name for themselves with 2010’s Super Meat Boy, a tough-as-nails platformer that offered equal parts fun and frustration, reward and punishment. And though it took around a decade to finally get a sequel, Super Meat Boy Forever landed on Switch and PC last December to reignite fans’ interest in the blob of meat and his challenging adventures.

However, if you’re a PlayStation or Xbox owner, you get to join in on the fun starting today. Super Meat Boy Forever is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S & X, finally granting players the ability to play the game on every major platform.

In this long-awaited sequel, Meat Boy and Bandage Girl’s young child named, Nugget, has been kidnapped by the nefarious Dr. Fetus, beginning a new quest for the two lovebirds to undertake. But things aren’t exactly the same as they were all those years ago โ€“ Super Meat Boy Forever brings some fresh new additions to the existing formula.

One meaningful addition to the franchise comes by way of Meat Boy’s new abilities, such as punching and sliding, which add some flavor to the moment to moment gameplay. However, the most notable of the changes is that every level in Super Meat Boy Forever is randomly generated, meaning that no two playthroughs of the game are ever the same, so it could take dozens of runs to see every iteration. That’s a whole hell of a lot of difficulty to overcome, but for fans of this punishing series, it might just be the best thing they could ever ask for.

If you’re up for the challenge, Super Meat Boy Forever is available today for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S & X for $19.99.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
