Sunday’s Xbox conference brought with it tons of news about upcoming games people have been dying to play, but few have been as highly-anticipated as Annapurna’s intimate time-loop adventure 12 Minutes, which has finally received a launch date. The game will release on August 19 for Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, and PC.

12 Minutes places you in the role of a husband in an apartment with his wife when an intruder breaks in and accuses her of murdering his father. The game plays out in 12 minute loops, forcing rapid problem-solving on each cycle as you learn additional details about your wife and the intruder and attempt new methods of de-escalating the situation.

Developer Luis Antonio debuted 12 Minutes over half a decade ago, but it has received quite a lot of upgrades in the years since. Improved visuals and a star-studded cast are among the most notable changes. You’re likely to recognize the voices of famous film actors James McAvoy and Daisy Ridley as the husband and wife, as well as Willem Dafoe as the home intruder.

If you’re an Xbox Game Pass member, you’re going to be extremely happy to hear that 12 Minutes will launch day one on the service. But whether you’re buying it outright or taking advantage of Microsoft’s value-filled subscription service, this one’s shaping up to be a doozy, so keep your eyes peeled for it this August.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
