If you’re a fan of playing god and making difficult choices, you’ll be delighted to hear you can do both now that The Fermi Paradox has entered Early Access on Steam. This in-progress version offers a solid look at the mechanics, tone, and direction that the game will be taking as development continues toward an eventual full release.

The Fermi Paradox is a narrative strategy title that gives you a bevy of choices, each having effects that could ripple throughout the entirety of the galaxy. Thoughtful actions and logical thinking is paramount in this game, as you’ll be at the center of a deep and engrossing story that takes place from the dawn of alien civilizations all the way through to their technological eras and beyond.

It could take in-game millennia to see the full outcome of the choices you make in The Fermi Paradox, but it isn’t taking quite that long for developer Anomaly Games to expand their collaborative efforts, having recently brought on four industry veterans to assist them with the writing of the game. Additions to the writing and editing team include Cara Ellison (Void Bastards), Jana Sloan van Geest (Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds), Jedidjah Julia Noomen (Lost at Sea), and Brian Mitsoda (Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines).

With so much talent behind the narrative of The Fermi Paradox, all that’s really left to see is what the game feels like to experience firsthand. If you’re interested, hop on into the game’s early access version and see for yourself what all the cosmic fuss is about.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
