Developer Blooper Team is finally bringing their award-winning psychological horror title The Medium to PlayStation 5 on September 3. The move to Sony’s new hardware comes after an immensely successful Xbox Series X and PC launch earlier this year.
Bloober Team has partnered with Koch Media to produce physical versions of The Medium for both PS5 and Xbox Series X that will release simultaneously. In addition, the game will take full advantage of the PS5’s DualSense controller to immerse players even further in the creepy adventures of main character Marianne.
If you haven’t had a chance to play The Medium yet, it’s worth noting that its most intriguing feature is its dual-realities gameplay, which grants players the ability to play with Marianne across the real world and spirit world at the same time. This important component of the moment-to-moment experience plays directly into the game’s puzzles and narrative in a myriad of meaningful ways throughout the eerie 8-10 hour quest.
