After originally releasing as a timed exclusive for Google Stadia last July, Robot Entertainment’s Orcs Must Die! 3 is now available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. It picks up 20 years after the previous game with a brand new story and plenty of fresh content.
As the name makes clear, Orcs Must Die! 3 is the third mainline game in the award-winning tower defense franchise, but it marks the first entry in the series to feature larger, open maps alongside its more straightforward showdowns. These maps, known as War Scenarios, pit you against massive scale invasions of hundreds of orcs, promising to test the mettle of even the most seasoned veterans. Luckily, the addition of War Machines – massive traps that kill huge swathes of orcs at once – can help you thin the horde down drastically.
Whether you’re going it alone or with a friend in online co-op, Orcs Must Die! 3 has plenty of stuff to keep you busy. This PS4, Xbox, and PC version of the game includes a host of new additions, features, and improvements alongside all of the previously released content from the Stadia edition. Most notably, you can check out the new Scramble mode, which asks you to undergo five tiers of increasingly difficult scenarios with limited rift points. If you’re looking for a real challenge, this is sure to offer it.
Orcs Must Die! 3‘s Stadia release was met with mixed reactions, but now that it’s been given some post-launch love and is becoming more widely available outside of Google’s cloud-based platform, here’s to hoping it will find plenty more appreciation from series fans and newcomers alike.
