No Brakes Games and Curve Digital recently announced that their hilarious physics-based platformer Human: Fall Flat has shipped 30 million copies since it was released 5 years ago.

Originally releasing for PC way back in 2016, Human: Fall Flat has since expanded to every major platform currently available today. The game, which lets players solve physics-based puzzles alone or together with up to 8 players, received mixed reviews at launch, but that clearly hasn’t stopped it from becoming an overwhelming success.

In a statement to fans, creator of Human: Fall Flat and CEO of No Brakes Games, Tomas Sakalauskas, had this to say about that success:

We couldn’t be happier to reach this amazing milestone. Five years ago Human Fall Flat first launched on PC with eight physics based puzzle levels, and now our game is available worldwide across PC, mobile and console platforms, includes 17 (soon to be 18!) exciting levels, and we’ve shipped over 30 million copies – we really can’t believe how far we’ve come.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to the amazing Human: Fall Flat community. I always wanted to make a game that inspires creators and players to build and explore new levels without any limitation and I am constantly surprised by the innovation that we see from the community each year. We look forward to many more years to come!

Tomas Sakalauskas

As you may have noticed, the game’s 17 levels will soon be 18, as the team is celebrating Human: Fall Flat‘s high sales and popularity with a brand new level that players should thoroughly enjoy later this summer. The level, which is titled simply Laboratory, was created by user ‘Buler’, who won the Fantastic Machines Competition and $10,000 for his hard work.

Three community-designed skins will also be available at the same time of the Laboratory level launch – the Jester, Painter, and Wrestler – with seven more coming even later in the year. All of the skins are coming from the first ten winners of Curve Digital’s Dress to Impress competition.

Meanwhile, if you’re the creative type yourself, you have until August 12 to enter the game’s 5th Anniversary Level Design Competition and potentially see your own level show up in the game. If you aren’t looking to place your own work in the game, though, that’s okay – it sounds like there’s quite a lot of excellent stuff headed to Human: Fall Flat throughout the rest of this year.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
