Moonlight Kids and Humble Games’ quirky action-adventure title The Wild at Heart made its way to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles last week. It was originally only available for Xbox and PC.

The Wild at Heart is a whimsical tale of childhood escapism that follows dual protagonists, Wake and Kirby, who have run away from home and find themselves exploring a mysterious forest. Soon, they begin to amass a horde of cute creatures that assist them with solving puzzles and defeating foes as they make their way through the woods and learn more about its strange inhabitants. They soon find themselves on a quest beyond anything they initially anticipated and discover that they’ll have to work together to bring peace to this forgotten world.

If you’re a fan of Pikmin-esque gameplay and resource management, you should find The Wild at Heart a relaxing but thought-provoking puzzle adventure. The PS4 and Switch versions of the game come with the recent The Field Guide Update, which brings a variety of improvements to the gameplay experience, such as a new lower difficulty for those seeking a more casual experience. Additionally, it features quality of life changes like waystones to call your creatures back to you, extra accessibility options, and the ability to pet cats – the last of which is the most important, naturally.

The Wild at Heart is available right now for $24.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A physical version for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will launch on December 10 for $29.99.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
