Aeternum Game Studios has finally released their highly anticipated Metrodvania Aeterna Noctis on all major platforms.
Aeterna Noctis impresses out of the gate with its hand-drawn 2D art style, but this Metroidvania is much more than just a pretty aesthetic. Boasting 16 diverse areas to explore, over 100 unique enemy types to fell, and more than 20 difficult bosses to overcome, Aeterna Noctis promises exactly what fans of the genre love. Expect one hell of a challenge, though, as this adventure isn’t going to go easy on you.
Aeternum Game Studios has promised that Aeterna Noctis remains fair despite being difficult to master, so even though it won’t be a breeze, you should be able to best it with enough time and effort. It also provides a lot of player choice, allowing you to decide your own path through the game’s various locations, so if something is proving too hard, you may be able to go back and find a new area to explore until you’re more prepared.
Aeterna Noctis is available digitally right now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $29.99. If you happen to be in Europe, however, Aeternum Game Studios has teamed up with Selecta Visión to provide physical copies in that region.
