Ubisoft stealth released Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon: Classic Edition this week for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

This re-release of 2013’s hit DLC Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon brings the game to a new generation of fans as either a standalone purchase or as part of the Far Cry 6 Season Pass. In it, players must take on the role of a Mark IV Cyber Commando named Rex Colt, who is fighting to save humanity from an onslaught of killer cyborgs, mutants, and more. Though this expansion of Far Cry 3 is smaller than the mainline Far Cry games, it nevertheless follows a familiar pattern of taking over outposts and slaughtering hundreds of baddies with guns โ€“ albeit with a 1980s retro-futuristic flair full of neon lights and thumping electronic music.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon: Classic Edition is only available natively on last-gen hardware, though it remains perfectly playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles due to backward compatibility. Weirdly, though, an ESRB listing shows that the game is available for new-gen platforms, but it’s yet to be seen if those editions will actually release or if it’s just mislabeled in some way.

You can pick up Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon: Classic Edition right now on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One for $14.99, or you can download it at no additional cost if you’ve already bought the Far Cry 6 Season Pass. Meanwhile, Season Pass owners on PC simply have access to a free copy of the original 2013 release of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Billy will always claim he didn't intentionally get the platinum trophy in Snoopy's Grand Adventure, but he's lying.
