Upcoming kung-fu action title Sifu will receive a boxed retail version this Spring following its February 8 digital launch. The news comes as the result of the signing of an international co-publishing agreement between developer Sloclap and publisher Microids.
In a statement from Sloclap co-founder and CEO Pierre de Margerie, he expressed his excitement for the agreement, saying:
We’ve received numerous requests for a retail version of Sifu and we’re delighted to meet players’ expectations in Spring 2022 thanks to this partnership with Microids.

Microids Editorial Director Alain Milly echoed those same sentiments:
We are very proud to collaborate with such a renowned studio on a title filled with explosive gameplay and magnificent art direction. We are eager to show the beautiful retail editions to the fans!

Sifu is an action-packed martial arts title that asks players to take on the role of a young kung-fu student who has set out on a path to revenge after the brutal death of his family by an assassination squad. Using unique aging mechanics, the student will be revived a year older after each death, changing his appearance and skillset slightly with each new iteration of his existence. There’s a lot of mystery left to discover in this compelling tale, and there’s not much longer to wait before we can all see what Sloclap has prepared for us.
Sifu will be available digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Epic Games Store) on February 8, 2022. There is no confirmed release date for the retail versions of the game, but they’re expected out in Spring of this year.
