Okomotive’s new adventure FAR: Changing Tides will release for all major platforms on March 1, 2022.
FAR: Changing Tides is essentially a sequel to 2018’s FAR: Lone Sails, though Okomotive prefers to refer to it as a companion title. As in the original game, players will navigate massive vehicles across a desolate world and perform some 2D action-platforming feats along the way. This new entry in the series will add much verticality to the experience, however, also allowing players to dive into the water and explore a flooded civilization that the protagonist, Toe, once called home.
As players discover new areas and solve a myriad of environmental puzzles both above and below the ocean, they’ll slowly learn the skills needed to control their new vehicles โ a submersible and a sailboat. This sea journey promises plenty of surprises, but it also continues to promise the same meditative and relaxing experience that the original has become so well-known for achieving. Those who enjoyed exploring the first adventure should find even more to love in FAR: Changing Tides.
FAR: Changing Tides will release on the first day of March for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Windows, Steam, or Epic Games Store). It will also be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
