Developer Ocellus Studio and publisher Microids have announced their new 2.5D platformer Marsupilami: Hoobadventure will launch on November 16. The game is set to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Additionally, it will be compatible with PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series family.

Inspired by the classic comic book Marsupilami from André Franquin, this quirky platformer will cast players as the titular creatures on a quest through dense jungles, coastal towns, and abandoned temples as they attempt to reverse a curse that has been placed on their animal friends by a ghost.

While you have some trouble pronouncing it, you probably won’t have much trouble playing Marsupilami: Hoobadventure, as it’s targeted at a younger audience. However, the developers promise that the simpler gameplay won’t be a total turnoff for seasoned gamers, largely thanks to plenty of collectibles to discover and a time attack mode that will offer an increased challenge.

Two retail versions of the game will also be released exclusively in North America. The Tropical Edition will be the standard version and will contain a physical copy of the game, 2 sheets of stickers, and a door hanger. Meanwhile, you can also opt for the Collector’s Edition, which will come with everything in the Tropical Edition alongside a 14cm figurine and collector’s box.

Keep an eye out for Marsupilami: Hoobadventure when it releases this November on all major platforms.
